Wochern is located on well-known bicycle and hiking trails and is known for its beautiful townscape with a fountain, which has also received an award as a "Golden Village". Perl is 4 kilometers away and offers many shops, restaurants and a bus connection to Luxembourg City. Since public transport is free within the borders of Luxembourg (unique in Europe), it is an excellent way to explore Luxembourg in an eco-friendly way or to commute to work. Accordingly, it is only a few kilometers to the border, either to Schengen or Remich. The motorway exit to Luxembourg or Merzig/Saarbrücken can be reached in less than 10 minutes. Excursion destinations such as the Roman floor in Nennig or the Roman villa in Borg are recommended, but also a trip to France, for example to the castle in Sierck. The highlight of the region, however, is the Moselle with its many vineyards and corresponding wine cellars, both on the German and on the Luxembourg side. Many events related to wine attract many visitors. The Luxembourg town of Schengen is probably the best-known town, since the Schengen Agreement was signed here in 1985. So Schengen should not be missing from the list of places to visit. Remich can be reached in about 7 kilometers and, in addition to many restaurants and cafés, also offers the opportunity to walk along the river promenade or take a boat trip on the Moselle.
Bus connection to the surrounding villages such as Perl or in the district of Merzig. A bus can be taken from Perl to Luxembourg City.
